eBay Advertising:
From ground to launch-ready

Design support for the initial launch of eBay’s new seller-focused platform, eBay Advertising.

This new platform aims to assist sellers in gaining engagement and boosting sales with diverse tools like promotional campaign management and advertising placement inside the eBay network and other websites, such as Google.

My main priority was to create a full suite of digital advertising assets: responsive banners and email templates that explain the benefit of this new platform to current and future sellers and provide them with tips on how to utilise the tools available to them best; email templates that serve to educate and guide the customers on their options and how to make the best use of the available resources. I was also involved in updating the brand identities of eBay’s annual events, such as the Seller Advisory Board.

One of the challenges I encountered time and time again during the process was finding a way to work within the technological limitations provided. Most of the digital accesses were coded using eBay’s proprietary tools, aimed to create and adapt content across many countries and language systems, and as such they come with particular requirements such as maximum character counts, rigid layout,...

Thus, I had to work closely with a team of copywriters, finding new ways to deliver the intended message with the tool we had, making changes and updates within a shortened timeframe, and at times, we even had to resort to alternate solutions, such as coding an asset from scratch.
